Sanjay Singhal Chief Executive
Sanjay is an award-winning executive producer with more than 20 years’ experience of programme-making. He spent nearly 15 years at the BBC, and was MD of leading factual indie, Dragonfly Film and TV. At Voltage he has overseen a wide-ranging slate of ideas and productions including “Life Inside Jail” (ITV), “NHS: £2billion a Week and Counting” (Channel 4) and “Inside the Factory” (BBC Two). Before Voltage he ran many successful factual shows including “The Hotel” and “Bear Grylls’ Wild Weekends” (for Channel 4) and won four BAFTA nominations for “The Plane Crash”, “The Apprentice”, “The Family” and “One Born Every Minute”.
Steve Nam Managing Director
As co-founder and MD, Steve is responsible with Sanjay for the overall strategic direction of Voltage TV and oversees production, finance, commercial and business affairs and all operational aspects of the company. Prior to that, Steve spent more than 10 years at the BBC where he ran the co-production division, subsequently joining Sanjay at Dragonfly Film and TV as Chief Operating Officer. Steve is the point of contact for all distribution enquiries.
Helen Docherty Head of Development
A member of the team since day one, Helen’s played a role in all commissions at Voltage including “The Big Family Cooking Showdown” (BBC Two), “Life Inside Jail” (ITV) and “Inside the Factory” (BBC Two). Helen started her career in the BBC’s science unit where she developed a number of award-winning factual series including “Operation Iceberg”, “Frontline Medicine” and “Jimmy’s Food Factory.” Her production credits include the History Channel’s Emmy-nominated series “Mankind“.
Kathleen Larkin Executive Producer
Kathleen is an executive producer who has overseen a number of hit Channel 4 series including “The Undateables”, “First Dates” and “Mary Queen of the High Street”. She has also served as commissioning editor of factual entertainment for Channel 4.
Amanda Hibbitts Head of Production
Amanda is responsible for the budgeting and delivery of all Voltage films and series. She worked with Sanjay and Steve at Dragonfly Film & TV, where she was responsible for production managing some of the company’s biggest shows: “One Born Every Minute“, “The Hotel” and “The Plane Crash“ (Channel 4) and “One Car Too Far” for Discovery Networks International.
Kate Boundy Production Executive
Kate joined Voltage in 2013 and is responsible for the day-to-day managing and support of all Voltage’s projects as well as working closely with Head of Production, Amanda Hibbitts. Before joining Voltage, Kate worked as a Production Manager with many British indies on a range of programmes, including the ground breaking natural history series “The Burrowers” for Dragonfly Film & TV (BBC Two).
